Fascinating gondola ride along the Gran Canal and the most hidden and picturesque waterways passing under small bridges and along romantic corners reachable only by gondola! During the pleasant ride you will admire the Mozart House, the worldwide Private gondola serenade - - 3famous La Fenice Theatre, Rio (Canal) “De le Ostreghe”  until the most charming part of the Gran Canal, where you will admire the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Salute Church, Punta della Dogana and you will enjoy a unique breathtaking view of the St. Mark’s Basin with the marvelous S. Giorgio island.

After the gondola ride you will visit the breathtaking St. Mark’s Basilica! You will enjoy a full guided visit of this masterpiece of byzantine art, unique of its kind in Italy, you’ll have the pleasure to cherish the stunning gold mosaics and marble inlays of the floors, sitting comfortably while the guide will show you the represented biblical scenes, the history and the particularities of this ancient basilica. Admire The Pala d’oro, exquisite example of the byzantine art with its thousands of gems and precious stones.

At the end of your experience you will have the opportunity to do the free optional tour the Glass Craftsman Demonstration visiting a Glass Factory very close to Saint Mark’s square (20 minutes tour). Please follow the instruction that our staff will provide to you locally.

  • Timetable: 11:00 AM every days  (not available on Sunday)
  • Duration: 1:30 (20 minutes more for glass craftsman demonstration)
  • Price: € 52 per person – € 32 from 2 to 6 years – Free under 2 years
  • Languages: from April to October: English, German, Spanish, French: every day – Italian: Only on Saturday. The visit is monolingual.
    From November to March: English from Monday to Saturday – German on Monday and Friday – French on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday – Spanish on Wednesday and Saturday. The visit could be bilingual.

Know before to go

Unfortunately this tour is not fully accessible for wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities.
The tour does not operate in case of exceptionally bad weather, high/low tide (in these cases it can be postponed the day after otherwise it will be refunded)
The Golden Basilica Tour does not operate in case of unplanned religious functions (in these cases it can be postponed the day after otherwise it will be refunded)
Each gondola can guest maximum 6 people; the seat aboard cannot be chosen but will be assigned by the gondolier depending of guests weight
For the visit of the Basilica suitable clothing is required (no shorts)
For security reasons suitcases, backpacks or large bags are not allowed inside the Basilica, prior to your visit you must deposit them at the Ateneo San Basso (St. Mark’s Square- Calle san Basso). The storage service is free of charge, but please allow sufficient time!
The guided tour of the Golden Basilica is monolingual from April to October, from November to March could be bilingual.
Comfortable shoes suggested.
The tour is not considered private but it is shared with other guests not belonging to the same party.
Mobile vouchers are accepted.

Calle Larga de l’Ascension – In front of the post office (POSTE ITALIANE). Our assistant will wait for you with a signboard in which is written “GONDOLA TOUR”. The Gondoliers Station is 2 minutes walking from the Meeting point.
